The celebration of 70th Independence Day was organized by the Department of History on August 14, 2017 in the college premises. The occasion was graced by Dr. Ichha Charan Dwivedi and Dr. Ravi Bhushan Bajpai (Retired Professor from ITM University). The guests were given the guard of honor by the NCC students of our college who then hoisted the tricolor. The students from the department of music sang the National Anthem. The principal of our college, Dr Anula Maurya welcomed the guests and honored them with a shawl. The senior faculty then welcomed the guests with planters. The principal in her welcome address advised the students to live up to the expectations of those who laid down their lives to attain freedom from the Britishers. The guests, while addressing the gathering narrated the hardships and the sacrifices of our martyrs. They emphasized that the young girls should take initiative to uphold the culture and traditions of the country and carry forward the message of unity.
