       The 50th Annual Day Function was held on 18th April 2017 at 2pm in the College. This year the College combined the prize distribution function with the closing ceremony of Golden Jubilee Year Celebrations. 
       The Chief Guest on this occasion was Dr Satya Narayan Jatiya, Hon’ble Chairman Parliamentary Committee on HRD. The Guest of Honour was Prof Devesh K.  Sinha Dean of Colleges, DU, Distinguished Guest was Pt Pulkit Mishra. The function was presided over by Prof B.P.Sahu, Chairman Governing Body.
       The function started with the invocation of Goddess Sarasvati and the lighting of the lamp of knowledge. The guests were then honoured with the planters and mementoes. The Principal Dr Anula Maurya welcomed the guests and read out the Annual Report of the College highlighting the achievements of the students and the College Faculty. An address of the chief Guest followed this.
          The College Magazine “PRAVAH” was then released followed by the release of College Annual Academic Journal and the Annual Report 2016-2017. The books published by the Faculty in the Academic Session 2016-7 were also released along with the News Letters of various departments. Since this was the closing ceremony of Golden Jubilee Celebrations the Annual Reports of Fifty Years were compiled in the form of book by Dr Saroj Dutta which was also released. She also made a documentary on Fifty Years of Kalinda College and it was also shown.
         Meritorious students of 2015-2016 signed the Role of Honour and prizes, certificates and scholarships were distributed.
         Pt Pulkit Mishra then gave a one-hour dance performance which was appreciated by everyone.
              The function ended with a vote of thanks by the Convenor Dr Anjali Malik. She thanked the Chief Guest, the Guest of Honour and the Distinguished Guest, the Chairman of the Governing Body, and Member Governing Body. Thanks, were also given to Dr Anula Maurya, the College Principal for her consistent guidance. The College teaching and non-teaching staff, the student union, and all the students of the college were thanked for their co-operation.
