Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (2017 - 18)
The primary objective of Kalindi College NCWEB Centre is to strengthen and empower women through education and an overall development of personality. The Centre is most efficiently run under the direction of Principal Dr. Anula Maurya and Teacher-in- Charge Ms. Vandana Rani. The Centre does all efforts to encourage needy students to pursue their education. The Kalindi College NCWEB Centre has been functional in to impart education to the students who come to take classes in the Centre on Saturdays and during the vacation/semester break of the regular students. The Centre ever since its inception endeavor to forge morally and educationally strong and socially productive citizens of our nation. This belief has been ancestral in our nation as the visionaries of our nation’s past, who forged our nation, also believed that both physical and mental strength is requisite in the citizen of a strong nation. NCWEB, Kalindi College Centre has always taken the necessary measures to maintain pedagogical excellence as well as a balanced exposure of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for its students. Presently, this Centre has been imparting education in two courses viz: B.A. (Programme) and B. Com (Programme).
The year 2017-2018 was marked with many events and success stories. This can be attributed to the dedicated and team spirit of the teaching staff and students. Presently, this Centre has been imparting education in two courses B.A. (programme) and B.Com. (programme) wherein 50 teachers have been engaged. 1280 total students enrolled in the year 2017-2018. The Centre tries to provide immense exposure to the students. The Centre tries to provide immense exposure to the students both in the academic and extra-curricular activities. On the occasion of ANNUAL DAY of NCWEB the Centre has attained 3rd rank amongst 26 colleges of NCWEB and Teacher -in charge (coordinator) awarded for Exemplary work in the Kalindi College Centre and one of the student of Centre has also got prize in the singing competition.
The student’s union has been formed first time in the Centre and this student’s union comprises 11 members. Centre has celebrated its cultural and sports day on 13th January, 2018. Cultural events like Mehendi, Rangoli, Pot decoration, Western & Classical Dance, Fireless Cooking, Creative Writing in Hindi and English and various sports activities such as Sack Race, Relay Race, Three Legs, Matki Race and Musical Chair were the part of this event where hundreds of students and teachers also participated in these activities.
In collaboration with Indraprastha Sanjeevani NGO the Centre has organized a marathon for Namami-Gange: Run for Ganga-Run for India on 10th march 2018. More than 500 students along with faculty members were the part of this marathon.
Chief guests –Mr. Dependra Pathak, an Additional Commissioner of New Delhi, he has a wide experience of working at different positions in Indian Police and he serves as a Director (R&A), Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas India, Mr. Amjad Khan, director of movie ‘GUL MAKAI’ , Ms.Ruby Yadav, a social activist, phlianthropist and beauty pageant title holder beauty queen Mrs Universe 2015 West Asia, Ms. PreetiAggrawal, Mayor, North Delhi, and Dr. Anula Maurya, principal, Kalindi college have graced the occasion with their presence.
