The student interactive session on Digital Marketing was presented by Mr. Ranu Mishra , Digital Marketing Trainer and Branch Manager at IBMCE-HeadStart Education Center.

The session concluded with Quiz held by Mr. Ranu Mishra.

Department of Computer Science organized a  workshop on PHP Application development which was conducted by IBM resource person Mr. Rituresh.

The session started with the introduction of IBM team , Ms. Mauika Garg , Training Head at IBM-HeadStart Education Center, Ms. Geetha Priya , HR at IBM and resource person.

Mr. Rituresh, 4 years experienced Trainer and PHP developer at IBM discussed about Web designing market in Information Technology and the influence of PHP Web designing software in today’s world. The Basics of PHP Programming Language and important Coding tips were shared by the PHP real-time projects developer at IBM.

The session concluded with Quiz held by Rituresh and IBM-HeadStart

National Seminar - A paradigm Shift towards Empowerment of Women

3rd - 4th   February 2017

Department of Sciences, Kalindi College organized a National Seminar which was inaugurated by Prof. Krishnan Lal, Co-Chair, IAP for Science, Inter Academy Partnership.

Department of Computer Science department conducted third Technical Session under the topic “Digital India” which was chaired by Prof. C. K. Jaggi, Dept. of Operational Research, Faculty of Mathematical Sciences, University of Delhi.

The first lecture session started with Ms. Vyas about the digital life and focused on women entrepreneurs using advance technology.

The second lecture session was conducted by Mr. Mundae on Digital Marketing. He, himself being an entrepreneur, focused on the benefits of data and the Internet in marketing and running a successful business on an online platform.

The worksop was conducted by Ms. Chauhan on Digital Marketing. She enlightened the attendees with information about SEO and its importance in online marketing of products and services. She talked about Google Analytics and tracking of traffic on websites.

 

  • Technobuzz 2017
    • Computer Science department organized an intercollege fest TECHNOBUZZ on 15th   February 2017. The objective of the event is to raise the level of self-confidence among the students by motivating them to participate in extra-curricular activities.

    • On 24th- 25th, October, 2016, a Skill Development Workshop on Latex and Statistical Techniques was organized by the Computer Science and Mathematics Department of Kalindi College, University of Delhi.

  • PHP Workshop
    • On 14th Mar, 2016, Computer Science Department organized a “Workshop on php”. Ms. Kanika Bhatt, Senior Technical Consultant along with Mr. Pankaj Sonkar, Development Manager, WebTech Labs Pvt. Ltd. were present on this interactive event. Ms. Bhatt is an experienced technical professional which reflected impartially in her speaking at the workshop. She gave a detailed presentation about php basics and demonstrated live code writing and problem solving techniques to the audience. She also gave a demo about some advanced applications of php including the database connectivity. The workshop was followed by an interactive Q&A session. All the students and teachers actively participated in the programme.

    • Mr. Pankaj gave a detailed presentation about the WebTech Labs and the various internship opportunities it provides to the students at several levels. Ms. Kanika also responded enthusiastically to the technical queries asked by the participating students and faculty members of the department.

    • WebTech Labs is an active organisation providing students with ample opportunities in technical training, placements and counselling. It has been in business for more than 16 years.

  • Workshop on Cyber Security
    • On 12th Feb, 2016, Computer Science Department organized a workshop on “100 Cyber Security College Workshop” in collaboration with AIWEFA. Dr. Sarla Manchanda, associate professor of applied chemistry in Lady Irwin college and secretary of AIWEFA, alongwith Ms.Uma Bansal from Google Team were present this interactive event and lit the Cyber security mashaal with the faculty members of the department. Dr. Sarla gave brief information about AIWEFA (All India Women's Education Fund Association). It was founded with the objective of helping women to empower themselves.

    • Ms. Uma bansal explained every aspect related to cyber bullying and how to protect yourself from such crimes. A question-answer presentation was lead by Ms.Uma bansal with game sessions in between. The presentation had four sessions focusing mainly on cyber crimes, online scams and its security. Concepts of phishing and ethical hacking were also discussed. Students actively participated in the programme.
