On 16 January 2018, Skill Development, Kalindi College (University of Delhi) organized a talk on the theme “Women Entrepreneurship”. Mr. Ravi Gupta, National Mentor & Career Coach (Entrepreneurship) who is also a guest faculty to NIESBUD, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (Government of India) was invited as speaker to talk on the proposed theme. Mr. Gupta elaborated and discussed about the concept of women entrepreneurship, various schemes and programmes available under the government of India to support women in making them self-employed and independent. He also emphasized the process of getting bank finance and availing scheme loans from the government. In his lecture, he also discussed about some of the popular loan schemes such as MUDRA, STAND UP INDIA & STARTUP INDIA. At end of the program, there was also a question answer session when the doubts and queries of the students were also cleared by Mr. Gupta. At the end of program many girls showed their willingness in choosing entrepreneurship as a career option.

Attempts were made to gather inputs from the students by taking their feedback to study their area of interests and inclination in formulating proper skill development programmes in the college. The committee is also in the process of exploring other options whereby business incubation could be initiated so as to promote and facilitate entrepreneurship culture among the students. Apart from this, steps have been initiated to contact private entrepreneurs to provide skill training to the students in the college.
